To Set your IP address in Windows 2000 do the following: - Click "Start"
- The Click "Settings"
- Select "Network & Dial Up Connections"
- Select "Local Area Connection"
- Click the "Properties" button, you will be presented with the following screen
- Highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Then Click the "properties" button, you will be presented with the following screen
- Enter Your IP address (Provided By ICE Broadband or by your network administrator).
Note: If you have a router (Or sharing Gateway) installed, your IP address will be provided automatically. In this case simply select "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS Server addresses automatically". You can skip the next 2 steps. - Enter Your Subnet Mask & Default Gateway (Provided By ICE Broadband or by your network administrator)
- Enter Your DNS server addresses (Provided By ICE Broadband)
- Press the "OK" button
- Then Press "OK" again
- Then Press "Close"
- Your computer's IP address is now configured
