Configuring your E-mail Program |
You can use any e-mail program, which supports POP3 incoming mail and SMTP outoing mail, to send and receive e-mail using ICE Wireless Broadband. The Settings you will need to configure these programs are as follows:
| Incoming POP3 server name | mail.icecomms.net | | Outgoing SMTP server name | mail.icecomms.net | | UserName | user @icecomms.net | | Password | Your e-mail password | If you have lost your username or password, or need more e-mail accounts please e-mail tech support.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Outlook is a very popular e-mail program which comes bundled with MS Windows and MS Office. To configure Outlook for icecomms.net mail, follow these steps:
- The outlook mail client can be configured by opening Outlook and clicking on "Tools" along the file menu bar.
- Then select "Services"
- A dialog box appears: Select "Internet Mail" and click 'properties'
- A new dialog box appears with 4 tabs at the top, the "General" tab is open: Enter any personal details here.
- Then select the "servers" tab, the settings should be as follows:
- Incoming Mail (POP3): mail.icecomms.net
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP): mail.icecomms.net
Incoming Server options: - Enter your username and password:
- These were assigned to you when your mail account is setup. Your username is usually in the following format:
- Johnsmith @icecomms.net
- If you have lost these please contact us!
- Check the "remember password" box.
- Do not check the "Logon using Secure password authentication box"
