Ice Broadband brings quality broadband to Athy. Ice Broadband, the Irish 24x7 broadband carrier, is taking its high quality broadband service to Athy, Co. Kildare. The Athy launch comes just a few days after Ice Broadband had announced its quality services will be covering the Clane area, also in Co. Kildare. Ice Broadband is one of Ireland’s leading broadband carriers and provides wireless broadband services mainly to growing suburban and rural areas, where lack of quality broadband is a particular problem. “Ice Broadband is working very hard to bring broadband to the areas in Ireland where either no broadband or very poor quality of broadband exists,” explains Yvonne Rooney, managing director for Ice Broadband. Ice Broadband has invested heavily in hardware, applications and people to deliver a world-class product and take it to rural and suburban communities across Ireland. The company’s investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure allows it to stand over its guarantee to provide a higher quality service over other providers. As with Ice Broadband’s previous rollouts in the country, the company ensures that the service is available before announcing it. “Ice Broadband’s commitment to standards is reflected in the fact that the network is monitored continuously, every five minutes in fact ensuring true 24x7 coverage and support,” adds Rooney. “Quality of service is our priority.” The two packages offered by Ice Broadband currently is a regular home user package with 2Mbps download and 256kbps upload. The Home Plus offers a uniform 2Mbps in either direction. Both enjoy the benefits of no line rental, always on, and the option to install Voice over IP (VoIP) services. Ice Broadband products are also available in Athy through JM Computer Services on Stanhope Street. |
